CN SD40-2W 5351 with the daily westbound roadrailer train 145 pauses at the station at Sarnia, roadrailer 145 and eastbound counterpart 144 would often meet at Sarnia for crew changes.

VIA train 84 at Sarnia with P42's 904 and 915 on the rear, with the introduction of more new charger trainsets VIA has a surplus of locomotives and is now running with a unit on each end instead of having to wye the trains at Sarnia.

CN SD50AF 5502 at Sarnia with the triple crown roadrailer train #145, 5502 was the former 9902 the patch out number is clearly visible. The 9900 series units were the precursor to the following order of the SD60F.

The daily CSX interchange train seen here about to enter the "south" interchange tracks on CSX's Sarnia Subdivision, the power will run around its cars before making the connection to CN's St. Clair River Industrial spur and into CN's large yard at Sarnia, cars are dropped in the CN yard, new ones picked up and return back to CSX rails, this is the only way for CSX to get it's traffic to and from Sarnia as it's Canadian operations are isolated from the rest of the network. Power is locally assigned GP38-2's 2672 and 2690 and ex Chessie caboose 900032. The GP38's and caboose are no longer used in Sarnia.

The clouds break just enough to put some light on VIA 6452 with train 84 at Sarnia preparing to depart for points east, how much longer will these F40's be in corridor service with the new charger trainsets around?

CN SD70M-2 8900 leads train 122 past the station at Sarnia and under the signal bridge, the signals and bridge were installed when the new St. Clair tunnel was opened in 1995 allowing for seamless movements of double stack and over height cars to pass beneath the St. Clair river as seen in this train.

Canadian Pacific slug 1024 and GP9U 1548 light engines in Toronto back in 2009, I like the wood covering the windows on 1024... talk about cheap but these were neat looking slugs.

GCFX SD40-3 6065 and WC SD45 7518 pair up with a westbound train of autoracks at Sarnia. These Gec Alsthom leasing SD40's were always great to catch as well as the WC SD45's and they sounded great, far cry from what is out on the mainlines today.

CN's canadian cab Dash9's were always nice to catch here we have Dash9-44CWL 2521 with the evening westbound roadrailer train #145 at Mcgregor road at Sarnia. Notice the old yard light towers were still standing at this time.

CN SD40-2W 5339 leads CSX 8526 and BNSF 786 through the yard at Sarnia, Ontario with a westbound freight, back in those days of foreign power any and all combinations could be seen.
